Winter wedding couples, this one is for you. This Melissa Gebert Photography inspiration makes the most of the snowy temps and the polar climate with the cozy, red Lakeside Barn on Duck Puddle Campground in Maine and a color palette with pops of teal, gold, and red. Maine is a cold-weathered state, no doubt. But with styled shoots like these, it makes it completely possible to have a memorable wedding day with a winter wonderland as your background.
The barn was transformed to a rustic playground. The vendors brought the outside in, pulling the outdoor picnic table and adirondack chairs into the weathered interior. Larger than life pendant lighting hung over tablescapes with teal tapered candles and centerpieces perfect for the setting and the season.
Naturally, “keeping warm” was a must-have, so the vendors loaded up the couple with blankets and faux furs providing some needed solace from the cold. Further warming up the place were Jennifer Neal’s snazzy pops of white anemones and peach roses in the bridal bouquet because a little ode to spring is always a good thing in this climate. Hosting the shoot on the campground was a whimsical idea and you realize that there are probably a lot of hidden gem venues on beautiful campgrounds like these. Don’t be afraid to look around in your area for similar hot spots if you’re into this shoot like we are; you never know what you may find!
