While the initial theme of the shoot was ‘modern boho’, there is a sense of coastal charm that the historical Towers of Narragansett radiates. While steering clear of the typical nautical items, the coastal theme was brought in with pops of blue in the tablescape, cake, and florals. For the tablescape, a gorgeous farm table was donned with a dusty blue runner, gorgeous florals, and tall candlesticks. The vendor team created the modern feel throughout with dark colors, gold accents, and geometric patterns. The geometric gold arbor was a focal point on its own, but when Songbird Floral Designs added their floral touch, it became a showpiece. The bride’s bouquets were both whimsical and modern with their dark red and mauve roses, long greenery accents, and a surprise of cranberries! This couple brought the real love which had us forgetting it was a styled shoot. The timeless color palette, design, and details will have us all feeling the love as we head into this year’s wedding season!
What was your design inspiration?
We were inspired by our venue, which was beachside, and also by the modern and boho dresses we chose for the shoot. This helped us decide on the color palette and feel of the shoot.
Describe your flowers.
The flowers were modern and whimsical. We tried to do darker reds with deep colored roses and cranberries and larger bouquets for the brides.
Describe your cake.
The cake fell right in the modern theme. A 3-tiered cake with a marbled dark blue base, gold geometric patterns, and a gold geometric heart topper.
Describe the tablescape elements.
We kept the tablescape simple with a mixture of low floral arrangements, dusty blue runner and napkins, and gold flatware.
