Farm to table has made a beautiful resurgence of late, not just in the designation of where our food is coming from but as an embodied spirit for design as well.  When a team of Texas wedding vendors got together at the historic Grand Texana dairy barn, they knew that infusing the wedding decor with lush bounty from the earth was the perfect wedding design cue for their barn wedding.  Vintage furniture pieces from Love Birds Vintage Rentals were utilized to craft a free floating fireplace mantle ceremony space that dripped in lush greens.  Two unique tablescapes were crafted for the barn wedding, a smaller table set against a picture window like sliding door, while the other, a larger more stately wooden farm table, was made complete with a tumbling greenery runner.  A favorite piece to the decor overall however was a farmer’s market like display which featured a harvest like bounty of carrots, artichokes, lettuce and more.  From a wedding design stand point it’s important to realize how incredibly cool something as easily looked over as produce can become gorgeous decor.  There is an earthy spirit to this barn wedding as a whole, from the floral arrangements that celebrate leafy greens to use of farm favorites to create inspired decor.  I hope we begin to see real couple incorporate these sort of home grown items into their overall design aesthetic!
