Shot at the amazing Hui No’eau Visual Art Gallery, this romantic shoot shows that not all Hawaii weddings need to be tropical or with an oceanfront dinner. Soft touches of peach is tied in with the modern setting of the gallery that makes the classy feeling emerge. Our favorite detail of this shoot has to go to the three-tiered cake with loose florals flowing out of the side. With everything from a sea turtle to a puppy, this shoot is a dream of soft colors, loose ribbons and and an overflow of beauty.

What was your design inspiration?

We wanted something that was soft and romantic without the typical tropical flare you see in most Hawaiian weddings. We wanted to be able to show the elegance and magic of Maui without the need for tiki.

Describe your flowers.

The flowers were a lush display of peaches, mauve and neutral tones. Displayed in a loose and organic fashion that allowed for real texture and movement in the pieces.

Describe your cake.

The cake was a showstopping piece – three tiers with a cut out allowing for and overpowering of flowers.

Tell us about your attire choices.

We wanted wedding dresses that moved in the space-that could have drama without overwhelming the bride. The groom was attired in a modern fit with a heirloom time piece.
