Set with all things vintage in mind, Erin & Chandler Julian honed in on the unique space that is Nashville’s Ruby to be the uniquely cool blank slate from which to create their dream vintage wedding.  Armed with details uncovered at Erin’s grandmother’s house, decor for the day was born in a true homespun mix matched kind of way.  Mixed centerpieces were erected, with no two being quite the same, while a stand out feature of old doors served as a portrait & ceremony backdrop.  To complete their vintage wedding dream, a mixed lot of sweet treats in the form of a cheesecake bar along with a coffee/hot chocolate brought the guests a real down home fresh baked feel.  Erin & Chandler’s sweet vintage wedding is more unique then most, working with actual personal vintage details, creating a true family vintage wedding!

Novella of the Bride…

I grew up in Kansas and Chandler grew up in Georgia.   I’m a Registered Nurse and Chandler designs and manages corporate retirement plans.  We met here at the church we both attended and became quickly became friends; however, we both had a similar feeling that there could be more to our friendship.  We eventually started dating.  It wasn’t long into our relationship that I knew I wanted him in my life forever.  I knew that through the good and the bad, the ups and the downs, he was the one I wanted to experience it all with.  It was a whirlwind from there, but I wouldn’t have changed any of it!

Chandler and I wanted to have a small, intimate wedding that had a vintage but classy feel to it.  We knew we wanted something that fit us and our personalities, and included our families and friends. It was very important to us to have a small enough wedding to be able to talk to everyone personally, which we were able to do.  It really meant a lot to us, but I think it meant a lot to our guests as well.  The venue provided a beautiful blank slate for the look of our wedding with exposed beam ceilings, textured plaster walls, and a dark wood floor.  We wanted to keep our decor simple to enhance the beauty that was already there.  All of the center pieces for the tables were different and included a cluster of antiques or things that we found from my grandmother’s house.  That was one of my favorite touches, because every piece we used was meaningful.  I also loved that we were able to rent vintage china for the cheesecake.  It really tied the theme and look we were going for together. The way we honored our families added a special touch.  Instead of having a traditional wedding party with bridesmaids and groomsmen, I had my sister and brother with me and Chandler had his sister and brother-in-law with him.  That part was very meaningful to us.

A Little Help From Their Friends ~ We couldn’t have done the wedding without the help of our families!  My mom spent a lot of time and effort on all the details–I’m not sure how long she spent tying each individual ribbon wand or thinking through the flow of the day.  We worked on most the details of our wedding ourselves with the help of family, so they were a vital part of our special day!

Favorite Moments ~ Gosh, it’s so hard to choose just one cause the day went absolutely perfectly! It was everything we wanted and more and couldn’t have gone more smoothly. I think one of my favorite moments was when I was walking down the aisle towards Chandler.  Our eyes met as the doors open and I never took my eyes off him.  I wasn’t sure exactly what emotion would hit me in that moment, but I was so overcome with happiness.  I couldn’t stop smiling!  I was so excited to be marrying the love of my life and to be experiencing my future with him.  We had seen each other before the wedding to take pictures and such, but it didn’t make that moment any less special. It was like we were the only two people in the room.  I will never forget walking towards my love and how special that moment was for us.
