Drawing inspiration from the floral pattern within her gorgeous open back lace wedding dress from A&B Bridal Shop, bride Camille allowed nature's own beauty to do the talking. Taking place on her family's ranch, this Texas hill country wedding is all about minimalist reserve done in an elevated chic manner. While it might not be a wedding that is overflowing on details, each and every touch is done to perfection. Petite arrangements flowed throughout, featuring a striking juxtaposition of light & dark hues. The same floral accents were used to create a dreamy floral river that wrapped itself around the handmade cake, baked by a neighbor who does cakes on the side! In true minimalist spirit, place settings welcomed guest with an elegantly tied twine and rosemary accented napkin. While every loving detail is divine, wedding photographer Anne Brookshire Photography does a stunning job of capturing the day in a larger than life way. From showcasing the swoony love between Camille & Jon to highlighting the incredible hideaway that is her family's sanctuary, this is easily one of the more chic country weddings we've seen this year.
A Few Words From The Bride:
It was fall so I wanted rich colors. There was reds, purples, greens. I wanted it to be very intimate. It was family only and only about 45 of them. Ive been to a lot of weddings and sometimes the ‘purpose' of marriage gets lost. I wanted it to be in nature and I wanted to feel ‘grounded'. I didn't want a big fuss with hair and makeup so I just did it myself. I wanted to still look like me in my wedding photos. We didn't have bridesmaids or groomsmen.
The ranch is located in Evant, Texas. My parents built their retirement home there. Its beautiful and when you're there you forget all of life's trivial distractions; what better place to get married! The most important (thing) was to be true to ourselves and not let other weddings or customary etiquette sway our decisions. I splurged on the dress and skipped on a lot: hair, makeup, decor. Our wedding was really simple. Even our cake wasn't a big fuss. A local neighbor, Chyrl, in Evant does event cakes on the side. Dont get wrapped up in the show of things. Its not important what your favors looked like or how many friends came. What is important is you two- thats it! People are going to be happy for you no matter what, and if they aren't, then they don't matter!
